Rolling Forward: How Diane Leseberg Shaped Generations of Youth Bowlers

In 1991, Diane Leseberg took on the role of Junior Program Director at Buena Lanes, revitalizing a program that had been dormant for many years. Through her unwavering dedication and commitment, she played a pivotal role in the growth and development of youth bowling throughout the region. Diane has been instrumental in organizing and sustaining successful youth leagues and tournaments across the county.

One of her most remarkable achievements is maintaining a youth league that has operated continuously since 1977, making it the longest-tenured youth league in the county. Over the years, countless bowlers who began their journeys in Diane’s programs have gone on to compete at the local, national, collegiate, and professional levels.

Diane is in her element, at the VCUSBC County Youth tournament.

Diane’s passion for the sport has fostered a strong sense of community among young bowlers and their families. She is deeply committed to ensuring that youth bowlers are given the support, mentorship, and opportunities they need to succeed both on and off the lanes. Her contributions to youth bowling have been invaluable, leaving a lasting legacy not only in the sport, but throughout Ventura County.
